Expedia, Inc., is the world’s largest online travel company. The award winning, is the largest online travel provider for the UK, serving millions of travellers every year. Expedia, Inc.’s companies operate more than 100 branded points of sale in more than 60 countries. Expedia also powers travel bookings for over 10,000 partners such as airlines and hotels, consumer brands, and high traffic websites through Expedia Affiliate Network.


the brief:

Expedia approached us with a requirement to create a HTML5 web app to offer global users inside ‘Lodging Partner Services’ a new and engaging way to access training content. The web portal had to be accessible on any device, off network and 24/7. It needed to replicate as near to an ‘in-app’ experience as possbile.


the solution:

Working closely with Expedia, we designed, developed, delivered and continue to support a HTML5 web portal using responsive technology to allow GLO to provide a consitent experience across multiple devices. The portal is available to their employees anywhere and at any time companywide. Users can access training content such as videos, guides, success stories and take part in company challenges. GLO also features a full CMS (Content Management System) administration account, allowing Expedia’s training team full control of content, face-to-face planning and delivery. GLO provides the training team with numerous reports, integrates with a 3rd party LMS and includes a full SSO (Single Sign On) solution.
