the client:

Santander remained the largest bank in the eurozone in 2014, with attributable profit of 5.8 billion euros (+33%). It is the eleventh largest bank in the world in terms of market capitalisation: 88.041 billion euros. Santander UK now has £3.6 million 1|2|3 World cusomers.

 

the brief: 

Santander needed a way to see the strengths and weaknesses within teams and which gaps needed to be filled. It needed to be in an accessable format to super-admin users and which was also easy to understand.

 

the solution: 

We developed a gridding system within the existing talent portal to map employees within a talent band and business area. We created 
a grid of nine skills which employees are categorised into. The team percentages across the grid are displayed clearly in percentage values and so highlight to the management team any gaps which need to be covered. Admin can create new grids as required, add and delete team members and search through the grid via band, manager, employee name, date and business area. Placing the gridding tool within the Talent portal makes it easily accessable on all devices.
